논문 초록 (Abstract)

This study discusses the strategy and operation of an innovation voucher program as a new model of university-industry cooperation in an innovation cluster in Korea. Specifically, this study discusses one such innovation voucher program in Daedeok Innopolis in Daejeon, South Korea. The innovation voucher program was analyzed using a survey method. Data and information were collected via questionnaires that were distributed to innovation voucher participants, including university professors and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of ventures. Based on this analysis, the initiatives proposed are as follows. First, venture companies are supported with technology problem solving, planning, and technology commercialization. Second, a related support platform and DB system that includes information about universities and venture companies should be developed. Third, to promote and improve the performance of the innovation voucher program, an incentive system and related promotion system should be developed. It is necessary to improve implementation strategies by continually examining innovation voucher initiatives to maximize the effectiveness of academia-industrial cooperation through customized support to start-ups and small and medium-sized companies by utilizing university capabilities.
