Welcome to the Choi group

We are an international, diverse a multidisciplinary team of chemists and engineers at the

Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Hanbat National University. We aim to

understand and apply smart nanomaterials and functional polymers for environmental

remediation.

Hazardous and noxious substances. What are those? Where could it possibly come from? How does it work? How could we remove?

These are the key questions we are trying to address, and the ultimate goal of the group is

the bottom up construction of bulk structures consisting of smart nanomaterials and

functional polymers for environmental remediation. Although we typically recognize

hazardous and noxious materials, it is extremely hard to define and find exactly what they

are and where they are around us. Understanding HNSs and smart nanomaterials/functional polymers,

and closely related to this question, have therefore become some of the greatest scientific

challenges of this time.
