논문 초록 (Abstract)
This study focuses on assessing the effect of the distance from Seoul to each industrial location(city) on industrial productivity. The analytic model is Cobb-Douglas Production Function added to the distance and time variables. The main results of this study are as followings. First, the production function was a convex function of distance and the decreasing function of the distance. Therefore the longer it is, the more decreasing the production level was. Second, the effect of the distance on industrial productivity was decreasing as year going. In 1989 and 1990, the distance have no effect on industrial productivity in case of Manufacturing industry. Third, the production was all the same at 30Km in the year 1989, 90Km in the year 1995, 190Km in the year 2001. Finally, in case of every industries, the distance from Seoul to each location will be less important industrial location factor in the future.
