논문 초록 (Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to design and implement an automatic resin impregnation equipment for composite strand specimens. Composite strand specimens were fabricated using this resin impregnation equipment with the filament winding method. The disadvantages of existing equipment include resin-induced pollution, poor tension control, and inefficient use of space. These problems lead to unnecessary processes and maintenance issues when fabricating the strand specimens. This study overcame these problems by installing a container in the resin recovery part, connecting the bobbin and rotating axis using a coupler and key, and moving the fiber impregnating part horizontally. Experiments were conducted on the strand specimens to evaluate the reliability of the proposed equipment. The experimental results showed an error within 1% compared to the mechanical properties provided by the material manufacturer, thereby demonstrating the reliability of the device.
